About

Fiat is the leadership training and spiritual development program of the Military Council of Catholic Women-Worldwide, Inc..  MCCW-Worldwide, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that is the only women’s group sponsored and endorsed by the Archdiocese for the Military Services. MCCW-Worldwide, Inc. is not affiliated with any branch of the military.

The name Fiat comes from Mary’s response to the Angel Gabriel.  From Latin, the word fait means “let it be done.”  When the Angel Gabriel visited Mary and told her that she would give birth to Jesus, the Son of God, Mary responded with resounding obedience and acceptance of God’s call to her.  She said to the Angel, “I am the Lord’s servant” . . . “May your word to me be fulfilled” (Luke 1:38 ASB).  Mary’s response – her fiat – inspires the goals of this ministry.

The Fiat ministry within MCCW-Worldwide, Inc. trains women who are responding to God’s call to become leaders in their communities, and it helps to develop women spiritually so that that we can always strive to work for God’s kingdom.  Fiat is comprised of online training and resources and in person training through Journey of Faith Presentations and Engage Your Strengths Training.  Our trainers travel to chapels around the world and to retreats and conferences to present programs that will equip women to become better ministry leaders and disciples of Christ.

If your ministry group could benefit from Fiat online or from in person Journey of Faith Training, please contact us.  We’d love to hear from you.  You can use the form on the contact tab, or email Elizabeth at fiat.mccw@gmail.com
